MOOR MOTHER is a Philadelphia-based poetry reader\/lyricist\/visual artist, also known for her diverse social activities, including hosting workshops. She began her musical career with rap and has released nearly 10 studio albums since 2016. Their latest album, \"The Great Bailout\" (2024), was released on Anti-, a subsidiary of the prestigious Epitaph label, and received rave reviews from major music media outlets such as Pitchfork, The Wire, and Rolling Stone. Both artists, who actively deviate from existing styles, met through a shared sympathy for each other's musical activities and decided to collaborate out of necessity. They held sessions with the concept of creating a soundtrack for a fictional film, and completed this album. The best parts of both artists are literally highlighted, and the way the musical effect is elevated through their interaction embodies the true essence of collaboration. Following SUMAC's tour in Japan in April, they have announced premiere performances at the Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands and several other European cities.
