Steve Lukather, a member of Ringo's All-Starr Band, and Joseph Williams, Lukather's bandmate in Toto, co-wrote the opening track, \"Shadows on the Wall.\" Paul McCartney composed \"Feeling the Sunlight,\" and Benmont Tench and Mike Campbell of the Heartbreakers composed the closing track, \"Miss Jean\" (Ian Hunter, formerly of the All-Starr Band, also contributed to \"Miss Jean\" at the request of Tench and Campbell).
