He is one of the world's top jazz harpists, attracting attention for his virtuosic and passionate playing, simultaneously playing melody, chords, and bass lines. The two met on June 30, 2016, when Uehara was performing at the Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada and was moved by Edmar's passionate performance, which started their collaboration. At the end of July, she invited Edmar as a guest to her Blue Note New York performance, and their first collaboration took place surprisingly quickly. Their chemistry was so strong that both said they \"felt it was fate,\" leading to the official launch of their duo project. The two rehearsed in New York from the beginning of this year and started a world tour in May. During their six consecutive performances at Blue Note New York in June, they performed both their own originals and standard numbers, including a new song written by Uehara specifically for this project.
