In 1987, with the addition of full-time singer Michael Kiske, they made their Japanese debut with their second album, \"KEEPER OF THE SEVEN KEYS - Pt.1\". In the autumn of the same year, they held their first concert in Japan. In 1988, they released \"KEEPER OF THE SEVEN KEYS - Pt.2\", which included the timeless hit \"Eagle Fly Free\". Their popularity exploded in Japan, but the following year, 1989, Kai Hansen left the band. In 1994, Kiske left, and Andy Deris joined as his replacement. Their masterpiece sixth album, \"MASTER OF THE RINGS\", sold 100,000 copies in Japan, and their seventh album, \"THE TIME OF THE OATH\", released in 1996, sold 200,000 copies. From 2017 to 2018, Kiske and Hansen made a surprise return, and the seven-member lineup embarked on a world tour.
