Around 1978, they signed a contract and, with Larry Carlton as producer, recorded their debut album, titled \"Vapor Trails,\" in his private studio, Room 335. Featuring top-tier West Coast AOR artists of the time, including Michael Omartian, Bill Champlin, Paulinho da Costa, Steve Holly, and Tom Scott, this album became a representative masterpiece of the AOR scene in the late 1970s, capturing the refreshing spirit of the American West Coast. Unfortunately, the album was not a hit in the United States, and after releasing only this one album, the contract ended and the band disbanded. However, in Japan, \"Surfside Freeway\" (original title: \"Don't Worry Baby\"), the second track on the album, was used as the opening theme song for the Western music program \"Best Hit USA,\" which began airing on TV Asahi (at the time) in 1981, and has become an evergreen hit song that has been loved by Japanese fans of Western music for many years. As of 2025, \"Best Hit USA\" is still airing on BS Asahi as a popular program, with the same renowned MC, Katsuya Kobayashi, as it was back then.
