The album will be released on CDD, LP (import only), and a deluxe edition (CD+LP). \"These raw, intimate recordings were made early in Prince's career, just before he became a global star. In terms of format, they are similar to the Piano \u0026amp; A Microphone Tour he did in 2016, the year he ended his career,\" said Troy Carter, advisor to the Prince Estate, and the estate is pleased to give fans a glimpse into Prince's evolution and show that his career ultimately returned to piano and vocals. The private rehearsals offer a raw, intimate look into Prince's creative process. These include \"17 Days\" and \"Purple Rain,\" which weren't released until 1984, as well as his cover of Joni Mitchell's \"A Case of You,\" and unreleased tracks like \"Strange Relationship\" and \"International Lover\" that didn't make it onto his critically acclaimed 1987 album, \"Sign o' the Times.\" The album also includes the rare 19th-century spiritual \"Mary Don't You Weep,\" which will be featured in the end credits of Spike Lee's film \"BlacKkKlansman,\" released this August.
