This work, \"Circles,\" is Lori's only solo work and was released in 2004 on Eastern Developments, run by Guillermo Scott Herren. He handles almost all of the songwriting, production, and performance himself. Simple sounds of acoustic guitar, piano, and electric piano float with natural reverberations, and Tim Delaney's upright bass, featured throughout, accompanies them, creating a melancholic yet warm sound that gently envelops the listener. Constructed with the bare minimum of acoustic sounds, it is extremely tranquil, but the song structure and accents are exquisite, so you will never tire of listening to it, and will instead be drawn in. The entire album is instrumental, and while it resonates with the chamber sounds, post-rock, and electro-acoustic of the time, it also has a taste that connects to today's post-classical music.
