A true complete collection including unreleased songs and alternate versions! \"I Want to Hold Your Hand\" from \"With the Beatles.\" The meteoric rise continues! [Detailed Japanese commentary. 8-page booklet, 8,600 words of liner notes] This is the third installment of a grand project to include all of The Beatles' recordings. It thoroughly traces the Beatles' journey through sound in chronological order, including unreleased outtakes, while also featuring officially recorded studio recordings by The Beatles. This third volume focuses on the sessions for the albums \"With the Beatles\" and \"A Hard Day's Night.\" In the spring of 1963, they had three consecutive hits, \"From Me to You,\" \"Please Please Me,\" and \"She Loves You,\" and their popularity in the UK was soaring. They entered the studio in July. Unlike the previous album where they recorded 10 songs a day, this time they were able to record 4 or 5 songs a day, and the album \"With the Beatles\" was recorded over the course of October. For the cover songs, the strategy of performing them beforehand at BBC Live proved successful, and their playing skills improved dramatically. Numerous memorable performances, such as \"You Really Gotta Hold On Me\" and \"Please Mr. Postman,\" were recorded on the album. The album adopted a luxurious policy of not including any singles, and the originals, such as \"All My Loving,\" \"It Won't Be Long,\" and \"All I've Got to Do,\" produced the sound that is unmistakably \"The Beatles!\" Paul rented a room in the home of his girlfriend Jane Asher's family, where he and John wrote many songs, one of which would become their next single, \"I Want to Hold Your Hand.\" This song, recorded on October 17th, would eventually solidify their popularity in the United States and Japan. This was probably the most creative period for John and Paul's songwriting team. In 1965, during their French tour, they recorded German versions of \"She Loves You\" and \"I Want to Hold Your Hand\" at EMI Studios in Paris. Riding that momentum, they also began working on \"Can't Buy Me Love,\" a song Paul had conceived. As production on the album \"A Hard Day's Night\" began, filming for their first starring movie also started simultaneously. George used a 12-string electric guitar for the first time during these recordings, which became synonymous with the Beatles sound of 1965. This year's success propelled the Beatles to global idol status. The enjoyment is multiplied a hundredfold when you listen to it with the detailed Japanese commentary detailing the recording and production process. This third volume allows you to enjoy the true story of the Beatles' meteoric rise in chronological order.
