4589767514280
THE ROLLING STONES the COMPLETE STONES #8 Japan Music CD

Product Description
All of The Rolling Stones' official recordings are compiled in chronological order! Unreleased tracks, alternate versions, and a glorious history revealed in Volume 8! The Swinging London era. New frontiers like "Paint It Black!" are released one after another. This is the 8th volume of The Rolling Stones' epic project to compile all of their recordings. The Stones' release order in the UK and US is chaotic, making it difficult even for avid fans to know the exact release order. This series allows you to follow their journey more deeply by tracing their progress in chronological order of recording, including outtakes and unreleased tracks. This 8th volume covers the end of the sessions for the album "Aftermath" in March 1966, the sessions for the single "Mother in Shadow" which caused a stir with its cross-dressing photos, and the beginning of the production of their next album, "Between the Buttons." "Paint It Black!" with the introduction of sitar, "Under My Thumb" with marimba, and Brian Jones' arrangements colored with various instruments. Mick's lyrics push the boundaries of sexism, bordering on misogyny, and he even plays along with popular criticism of the Stones, calling them "enemies of parents with daughters," singing "Baby, you're at my beck and call," while also venturing into new territory by playing a heartbroken, effeminate man. The Italian version of "I've Been Loving You Too Long" is a different version without the harpsichord. In Chris Farlowe's sessions, in addition to "Out of Time," there's a rare take of Mick singing a cover of Otis Redding's "I've Been Loving You Too Long," a song unknown even to Stones fans, with a bold use of strings! The collection also includes all the sessions in which the members participated, so it's valuable to find rare versions such as "I Can Tell," recorded by John Hammond and Bill Wyman with Robbie Robertson, and "Lady Jane," sung by engineer Glyn Johns, with Brian May playing sitar. The album includes previously unreleased tracks such as "Hear It," which is said to have been spearheaded by Brian Jones, and "Trouble In Mind," where everyone is playing kazoos and making noise. Jagger and Richards' songwriting blossomed, and the genius Brian Jones added color with various instruments such as sitar, dulcimer, and marimba. It was the era of Swinging London and Flower. The stylish and cool 60s sound that the Stones, who would later be known for their loose rock and roll groove, only showcased during this period of 1966-1967 is thrilling.
