Shea Stadium (then spelled Shea Stadium) is familiar to older fans, but the live audio heard there was later re-recorded and overdubbed in the studio and significantly modified. Eternal Grooves' \"SHAE STADIUM\" (EGSH-0012), released in 2017, featured \"unedited, realistic live audio\" and was well-received, but this time it's an expanded edition that also includes the \"original broadcast audio\" and \"opening band live performance.\" This will be an essential item for understanding everything about this historic concert. The 1965 North American tour was the first stadium tour in rock history. The opening night at Shea Stadium was packed with 56,000 fans, and the venue was filled with the cheers of Beatlemania. This massive concert, a first for everyone, was recorded on video, but the overwhelming crowd and the shortcomings of the recording equipment at the time caused problems with balancing the vocals and instruments. Therefore, in January of the following year, an attempt was made to re-record the performance to match the video at a London studio. After much trial and error, the video version of the Shea Stadium live performance was completed and broadcast on BBC in the UK and ABC in the US in 1966 and 1967. It was also sold on video in the 70s, but nowadays, many fans find more value in the actual performance than in the edited and corrected final version. Even if there were performance mistakes, the energy and groove that remain is what makes it a live performance. You can feel the emotions and excitement of the Beatles members at that time.
