A regular edition is now available in response to popular demand.~ A two-disc set thoroughly covering the Beatles' studio recordings just before their debut. The historic \"Decca Audition\" is included in a stereo mix. The newly revealed \"Polydor Sessions\" and the \"Cavern Tapes,\" considered their origin, are also must-listens. The famous audition tape from Decca Records on New Year's Day 1962 appears in what is likely the first-ever stereo mix. All 15 tracks boast truly high-quality sound! This legendary performance, which ultimately resulted in their rejection, is a historical recording that conveys the Beatles of that era. The tracks are recorded in the order they were performed that day, as revealed by Pete Best's testimony. While it's said that the \"true master\" has a slight tape distortion at the beginning of the first track, \"Money,\" this is common knowledge among fans. Here, it has been corrected to sound as it truly was at the time, making it easier to listen to. Also noteworthy is the high percentage of George's vocals, with four tracks featuring him. The Japanese liner notes include a table showing the vocal parts for each song, making it easy to understand. The coolness of \"Three Cool Cats,\" with George's lead and Paul and John's vocals intertwined, is fantastic! It's also surprising that they performed three original songs, including \"Like Dreamers Do\" and \"Hello Little Girl,\" which piqued the interest of those involved and led to an audition at EMI. From the EMI audition on June 6th, they performed \"Love Me Do,\" which Paul said made his voice tremble when he suddenly had to sing lead. And Paul's signature song, \"Besame Mucho,\" is included, including the Geoff Emerick re-edited version with the \"Cha-cha-boo\" ending cut out. This was Pete Best's last recording. The live performance at the Cavern Club four days after Ringo Starr joined was filmed by Granada TV, and the black-and-white footage of \"Some Other Guy\" remains. However, the audio was re-recorded at a later date, and both versions can be heard here. Disc 2 includes recordings from their EMI debut album, featuring \"How Do You Do It,\" which was ultimately rejected for release, and Ringo's version of \"Love Me Do\" before Andy White took over on drums. It also contains rare recordings from a Cavern Club rehearsal in October, including very early versions of \"I Saw Her Standing There\" and \"One After 909.\" Going back in time, the Polydor sessions with Tony Sheridan include all eight songs (10 takes) performed by the Beatles. Previous official releases advertised as \"T. Sheridan and the Beatles playing!\" but actually featured performances by other bands are now unnecessary. \"My Bonnie\" is included in both English and German (intro) versions. The detailed Japanese liner notes are a must-read. This is a must-have for fans, packed with pre-debut Beatles content. Available in a standard jewel case 2CD set. Includes Japanese liner notes. It is included in the booklet in 8,500 characters. JASRAC-licensed product, Getty Images Japan licensed photo used on the jacket.
