A 60-minute live performance at Stow School, a prestigious boys' school in Buckinghamshire, England, two weeks after the release of The Beatles' debut album, has been discovered. This was around the time their single \"Please Please Me\" became a hit and their popularity in the UK began to rise. The school concert on April 4, 1963, was realized after student David Moores wrote a letter to the Beatles. This recording was made by John Bloomfield, a 15-year-old male student at the time, and kept for 60 years (it is now housed in the British Library). Last month, it was brought to the BBC, and only portions of four songs?\"I Saw Her Standing There,\" \"Too Much Monkey Business,\" \"Memphis, Tennessee,\" and \"Please Please Me\"?were broadcast. And now, the full 60-minute recording is finally available. Perhaps because it's a prestigious boys' school in the UK, the cheers from the students are subdued, but this allows the sound quality to be heard clearly. George's guitar is prominently featured, and his guitar playing is 20% sharper than usual. The sound quality wasn't great, perhaps due to the limitations of the equipment at the time, but it has been demixed and remastered with the latest technology. Aside from a series of BBC broadcasts, this is the first time that \"Love Me Do,\" \"Thank You Girl,\" and \"Missouri\" have been performed in a live concert with an audience, and an incredible 22 songs are played (unfortunately, \"Money\" is partially cut). Requests are occasionally made, and the stage proceeds in a warm yet friendly atmosphere. After the performance, there was a dinner party at the school where they apparently interacted with the students. Before visiting the school that day, the Beatles had a recording session for BBC, and afterwards, photographer Dezo Hoffmann took photographs in front of the BBC building. This is the famous shot that was used on the cover of \"Live at the BBC.\" D. Hoffmann then accompanied them to Stowe School and took many photographs. Up until now, this much had been known, but I can't hide my surprise at the fact that they held such a long concert and played these songs. After this, the Beatles' popularity exploded. They organized live tours all over the world and performed many live shows, but they all became 30-minute package shows. This is a historical discovery of the only recorded long live performance other than the one at the Star Club. For fans, it is recognized as the only sound source that shows the Beatles' performance style during this period, but the sound quality may be difficult for the average fan. However, it is a setlist that could only be found at this time.
