Disc 2 includes single A and B-sides and rare live tracks! The first pressing includes an \"EATER\" sticker featuring the cover design. Detailed liner notes by TAYLOW (the Genbaku Onanies). \"Blow away with punk!\" ~ Eater, the shocking early punk band. As part of the first generation of London punk, the band's members were only 13-17 years old when they formed in 1976! The Damned and Sham 69 were support acts for Eater in that era. Produced by Dave Goodman, the Sex Pistols' engineer, they released their first single, \"Outside View,\" in March 1977. At the heart of the UK punk movement at its peak, they disbanded after only about three years of activity (they later reformed and are still performing live), leaving behind only this one album. In 1977, a domestic LP version was released by Polydor under the striking Japanese title \"Punk de Buttobase\" (Let's Blow Away with Punk), creating quite a buzz. This is a two-disc deluxe edition of EATER's only album, the original kid punk band, with added live recordings, single versions, and rare tracks. Disc 1 contains all 16 tracks from the original album, while Disc 2 contains the A and B sides of the singles and live recordings. As detailed and full of punk love, written in the four-page booklet by TAYLOW, the vocalist of the Genbaku Onanies, a band that Japan is proud of as original punk, it's clear how much influence these 15 or 16-year-old kids had when they told so many kids at the time that \"anyone can be in a band.\" And EATER's recognition led to the later post-punk movement. Most of the tracks are fast-paced punk numbers around two minutes long. From the intro of the first track, \"You,\" with its fast-paced bass line and the impatient electric guitar riffs that burst in, the raw, unadulterated energy of the band is exhilarating. Their urgent covers, from The Velvet Underground's \"Sweet Jane\" to Alice Cooper's \"Fifteen,\" are faster-paced than the originals, embodying true punk spirit. Disc 2 includes single versions of \"You\" and other hard-to-find rare tracks, as well as their second single, \"Thinking Of The USA,\" a crucial early punk song featuring a London accent and the iconic \"USI!\" sung with a distinctive accent. Eater, who refused to even become a legend and faded away with the end of the punk boom, have left an eternally shining legacy here. PUNKS NOT DEAD! PUNK-focused label \"BLACKSTAR\" launches!
