Recorded and mixed by the talented Randy Burns, who also worked with Megadeth at the time, this album was originally released in 1984 as a 5-track EP, 'Leatherwolf,' and due to its popularity, was released worldwide as a full album with 9 tracks, including 4 new songs. A Japanese LP version was also released by CBS Sony, which was focusing on heavy metal at the time. In the thriving LA metal scene, this masterpiece, with its British and European-flavored heavy metal sound?unlike anything you'd expect from a West Coast band?is widely recognized here in Japan! Randy has once again handled the remastering. The band made their major debut in 1987 with \"Metal Calling\" (original title: Leatherwolf) on Island Records, achieving a global breakthrough. They followed this with their third album, \"Street Ready,\" on the same label, but due to the changing times, including the rise of grunge, they ceased activities in 1991. After many twists and turns, they finally reformed in 1999 and released \"World Asylum\" in 2007. After that, although drummer Dean Roberts was the only original member remaining, they added powerful new members and released the excellent album \"Kill The Hunted\" in 2022, proving the band's continued vitality, and now their long-awaited first performance in Japan has finally come to fruition!
