Combining videos and field recordings saved on his cell phone, he embarked on creating musical synapses between lost memories. The album features a diverse range of guests, including Henning Schmiedt, Kumi Takahara, Noah, Danny Norbury, and Emma Gatrill from his own label FLAU, as well as close Japanese artists Gutevolk and Arisa Yokote, Hardanger fiddle player Benedicte Maurseth (who also releases on ECM), British improvisational musician Patrick Farmer, Austrian sound artist Glim, and Melbourne singer-songwriter Grand Salvo.
