Foxes in Fiction started as a sample collage project when he was 15 years old, and debuted in 2010 with the EP \"Alberto,\" digitally released on his own label, Orchid Tapes. In the same year, he released his first album, \"Swung From the Branches.\" This was initially released as a free download on his own website, but was later released on the prestigious digital label Moodgadget, run by Jakub Alexander of Ghostly International. Influenced by Atlas Sound, a project by Bradford Cox of Deerhunter, Warren's ethereal ambient\/dream pop resonated with the chillwave and shoegaze movements of the time, earning him widespread acclaim. In 2014, he released his second full-length album, \"Ontario Gothic.\" This album reflects the five-year process of gradually recovering from the tragedy and loss of his younger brother, who suddenly passed away at the young age of 16 in 2008. Its melancholic and grand ambient dream pop continues to be highly regarded today, and in Japan, it was featured in a photobook as a favorite of model Yui Kanno. This latest release, his first in five years, was recorded at Warren's home recording studio between 2017 and 2019. While it is certainly an extension of his previous work, a clear step forward is evident. While Warren handles most of the vocals on this album, orchestral strings and electronic bass, along with drum machine and cassette samples, paint a soft and dazzling soundscape, blending with Warren's ethereal and graceful vocals to create a dreamy and beautiful world.
