Their influence was so great that it spawned clone bands known as \"Bolt Thrower Worship\" around the globe. However, drummer Martin Kearns passed away suddenly in 2015, and the band sadly disbanded in 2016. Memorial is the band that carries on their legacy. The vocalist is Carl Willets, who also fronted Bolt Thrower. The guitarist is Scott Fairfax of Benediction. The bassist is Frank Healy of Sacriledge. The drummer is Spike T. Smith, also of Sacriledge. Since their formation in 2016, they have released albums at an unimaginable pace compared to their Bolt Thrower days: For the Fallen (2017), The Silent Vigil (2018), Requiem for Mankind (2019), and To the End (2021). Now they are releasing their fifth album. Titled Rise to Power, this is their first album since moving to Reaper Entertainment, but of course, Memoriam is still Memoriam. It's old-school death metal that can only be described as UK death metal. Heavy, groovy, and sometimes doomy. And this crust punk sound could only come from Britain.
