However, this movement was short-lived, its flame dying out after only about two years, but it's important not to forget that it produced a number of great bands such as D.R.I., C.O.C., and Suicidal Tendencies. Municipal Waste, from Virginia, is a band that revived that 80s crossover sound in the 21st century. Formed in 2001, they made their album debut in 2003 with \"Waste'Em All.\" Their second album, \"Hazardous Mutation,\" released by Earache, was a crossover masterpiece where everything from the songs and vocals to the artwork seemed to have time-traveled from the 80s. At the time, there was an 80s thrash revival movement spearheaded by Earache, and Municipal Waste quickly became a popular band. Now, Municipal Waste is releasing a new album, \"Electrified Brain.\" It's been a full five years since their last album, \"Slime and Punishment.\" This is truly a long-awaited release for fans, but no matter how many years pass, Municipal is still Municipal.
