However, in 2007, Decapitated suffered a great tragedy. Vitek died in an accident during a tour. Vogg was devastated by the loss of Vitek, a band member and his beloved younger brother, and Decapitated was forced to take a hiatus for several years. However, two years later, the band reformed, carrying on Vitek's legacy. They even toured Japan in 2012 and 2019. Now, Decapitated is releasing their eighth studio album, \"Cancer Culture.\" It's their first album in five years since \"Anticult\" in 2017, and fan expectations are higher than ever, but this album easily shrugs off that pressure.
