NAPALM DEATH are: Mark 'Barney' Greenway: Vocals Shane Embry: Bass Mitch Harris: Guitar Danny Herrera: Drums John Cooke: Guitar Formed in Birmingham, England in the early 1980s, Napalm Death is hailed as the \"kings\" of extreme music and is a historic, veteran band known for having members who were also members of doom metal pioneers Cathedral and death metal pioneers Carcass. They are touted as the world's fastest band and gained attention for appearing on the variety TV show \"Trivia no Izumi\" (Fountain of Trivia) for having a song that is \"one second long\". Despite numerous member changes, this band has continued its activities and, even after 40 years since its formation, is gaining more momentum than ever. On their 2012 Japan tour, they visited eastern Japan after the earthquake and performed live in Miyako, Ofunato, and Ishinomaki. In November 2014, they organized and accompanied their close friends Brutal Truth on their farewell Japan tour. In January 2015, they released their 15th album, \"Apex Predator, Easy Meat,\" and participated in LOUDPARK15 that same year. In 2016, they embarked on a tour across Honshu, visiting Ishinomaki, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Hakata, and in 2018, they released \"Rare Recordings Unleashed!!,\" a compilation album featuring rare recordings produced between 2004 and 2016. In 2019, they performed in Tokyo, Osaka, Ishinomaki, and Sapporo, and in 2020 released their 16th album, \"Eternal Paradox.\" Numerous live performances were planned afterward, but most were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
