With their magnificent choruses, heavy riffs, and catchy hooks further refined, this is the band's most accomplished masterpiece to date! TUNGSTEN is a Swedish melodic power metal band. Formed 16 years ago, it's a family band started by Anders Johansson (Dr), who supported the German\/Nordic power metal scene for 15 years as the drummer for HammerFall, together with his sons Niklas (G) and Karl (B). Furthermore, they welcomed Mike Anderson, a talented singer known for his work with Cloudscape and Silent Memorial, as their vocalist, attracting considerable attention from the start. Their 2019 debut album, \"We Will Rise,\" featured catchy power metal that skillfully incorporated elements of modern metal and symphonic metal. Following \"Tundra\" (2020), \"Bliss\" (2022), and \"The Grand Inferno\" (2024), TUNGSTEN steadily released more and more albums, their sound becoming more refined with each release, and they have firmly established themselves as one of the leading young bands in the Scandinavian metal scene. Now, TUNGSTEN has released their fifth studio album, \"Ashes.\" In this work, while building upon the melodic power metal they have cultivated so far, they pursue a more dynamic and energetic approach. The magnificent choruses, heavy riffs, and catchy hooks that are characteristic of TUNGSTEN have been further refined, resulting in the most accomplished work in the band's history. Of course, the exquisite balance between heaviness and melody that is TUNGSTEN's true strength is still present in this album. Anders Johansson's incredibly stable drumming, the synchronized playing of Niklas and Karl, and Mike Anderson's overwhelming vocal ability come together to create a sound that is both powerful and lyrical. \"Ashes\" is a crystallization of everything TUNGSTEN has built since their debut, and at the same time, it marks a new beginning that foreshadows even greater achievements. A must-listen for melodic power metal fans, and for all listeners who love Scandinavian metal and modern metal!
