Born in the 90s, Adriana Ubani ?lvarez and Paula Reyes Morillas met at art school, where they studied choral singing and lyrical songs in a drama course. As they each pursued their artistic paths, Paula, having experienced heartbreak, suggested that Adriana, who shared a similar sensibility and singing voice, write songs for her. From there, the project progressed rapidly like a rollercoaster. Vau Boy, a musician and producer influenced by Japanese techno-pop and game music, stepped in to help, further highlighting their Y2K flavor and creating a deeply flavorful sound. Their 2022 debut, \"Narciso,\" begins with a theatrical prologue that hints at their theatrical background, and dramatically unfolds within four minutes, repeatedly shifting into techno-pop. The next track they released, \"Club de los 27,\" is a slightly whimsical yet exceptionally romantic number, and the exhilarating feeling of soaring towards a grand ending is very pleasant. These two debut tracks are thankfully included as bonus tracks on the Japanese edition. Also included on this album is the slow \"Un poco triste :( ),\" perfectly capturing the melancholic mood of the end of summer, a fine piece that also has an alternative essence reminiscent of Toronto-based up-and-coming singer-songwriter PACKS.
