Subsequently, the double album \"GHOSTS,\" released in October 2023, garnered attention as a vocal and electronic work reminiscent of his earlier album \"HOME\" (2020), and for featuring guest appearances by ?lafur Arnalds, Patrick Watson, and Duncan Bellamy (Portico Quartet). Immediately after its release, a large-scale release tour was conducted in Europe, America, and Canada, and this album, \"Nostalgia,\" is Hanja's selection of the \"best performances\" from the live recordings made at every venue. The selected tracks were taken from a recording session on October 6th at the \"S1\" studio within the \"Polish Broadcasting Corporation\" in Warsaw (including one unreleased track) and a performance on October 26th at the \"Roundhouse\" concert hall in London (title track only). Hanja is very familiar with the location, having previously released a live mini-album at the \"S2\" studio within the Polish Broadcasting Corporation. The band members are almost the same as on the album \"GHOSTS,\" including Djemovit Klimek (bass, Moog), who defined the sound of the album \"Home,\" and the string ensemble (3 violins, 2 violas, 3 cellos) that also participated in previous works. Hanja is in charge of piano\/keyboards as well as drum machine, and also showcases his vocals, which have become even more beautiful and profound, on four tracks. The previous album, \"GHOSTS,\" was originally inspired by the stories of locals who said \"ghosts live in this old, abandoned hotel in the Swiss mountains where \"On Giacometti\" was recorded. It was created by expanding on the imagination of what happens between the boundary between life and death, and it was translated into a grand depiction using electronics and a string ensemble. Like its predecessor, this live performance is a minimalist, post-classical soundscape with a profound resonance created by blending electronic treatments with the texture of analog instruments. The album is enveloped in visually evocative soundscapes, drawing you in naturally with its breathtakingly beautiful melodies and Hanya's vocals. The album title is inspired by the feelings of nostalgia and longing that Hanya felt when she visited \"S1\" a few months after this Warsaw concert. It is also related to the overwhelmingly wonderful performance of \"Nostalgia\" at the London concert.
