Formed in 2004, Alter Bridge has released five studio albums to date. Their history began when Mark Tremonti (guitar, vocals) and Scott Phillips (drums), who had disbanded Creed, started working with Brian Marshall (bass), an original Creed member who had already left the band, to form a new band. Afterwards, the band, having recruited Myles Kennedy, the singer of THE MAYFIELD FOUR, through auditions, renamed themselves Alter Bridge and made their debut that same year with the album \"One Day Remains.\" This album, which followed in the footsteps of Creed but incorporated more modern and heavier elements, reached number 5 on the US charts. Their second album, \"BLACKBIRD\" (2007), and third album, \"AB III\" (2010), also became hits. From 2010, Myles was selected as the singer for Slash's solo project, and from 2012, Mark also began leading his own band, Tremonti. The band continued to produce albums at a pace of one every three years, and their fourth album, \"Fortress\" (2013), and fifth album, \"The Last Hero\" (2016), also succeeded in reaching the top of the US charts. During this time, they have also been actively performing live. After releasing \"The Last Hero,\" they began a European tour in November 2016, then toured North America, New Zealand, Australia, and South America in 2017, before returning to Europe for another tour. \"Live at the Royal Albert Hall featuring the Parallax Orchestra\" captures their performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London in October of that tour. Alter Bridge has released three live albums in the past, but this one is a concert in collaboration with London's Parallax Orchestra, making it different from their previous live recordings.
