Having secured a contract with Napalm Records, an Austrian label considered to be on par with Nuclear Blast as a major extreme metal label, Evil Invaders released their debut album, \"Pulses of Pleasure,\" in 2015. The name Evil Invaders spread to thrash metal fans around the world. In 2016 they released the EP \"In for the Kill,\" and in 2017 they quickly followed up with their second album, \"Feed Me Violence,\" solidifying their popularity. If you were to describe the appeal of Evil Invaders in one word, it would be \"a perfect recreation of the absurdity of 80s thrash.\" The band name?which thrash fans will immediately recognize?is taken from the title of an album released in 1985 by the Canadian thrash metal band Razor. The band name \"Evil Invaders\" itself is questionable, but it's even more questionable that the source is Razor in the 21st century. The band's core member, Joe, was born in 1991. In other words, when the band was formed in 2007, the members were still in their mid-teens. It's one thing if they were 50-year-old guys, but how could young people in their mid-teens, especially in the 21st century, think of naming their band after a Razor album? Normally, they'd take something like Bonded by Blood, or something from Exodus. Furthermore, as you can hear from their music, there's absolutely no influence from Razor! Rather, the influence seems to be more from bands like Exodus, which is completely baffling. Incidentally, Joe's first experience with speed metal was when he was 8 years old and accidentally played a Black Sabbath LP at 78 rpm. (Really?! 78 rpm is for SP records!) Now, regarding their second album, Feed Me Violence, which is being released in Japan, Joe says that compared to their debut album, it has \"a richer variety of songs\" and \"lots of unexpected twists.\" If you were to describe the style of this album in words, it would be \"extreme technical thrash metal,\" and it shares some similarities with Metallica's \"Master of Puppets.\" Their debut album was pure speed and sheer madness. However, inspired by \"Master of Puppets,\" they began to seek intelligence. This is precisely the path that 80s thrash metal followed! It's not just the music; even their way of life is straight out of the 80s, which is what makes Evil Invaders so unique. It's impossible to tell how much of it is intentional and how much is just natural. The Japanese edition includes the \"In for the Kill\" EP as a coupling track. It also features a cover of \"Violence and Force,\" a classic by Canadian speed metal legends Exciter. You can enjoy a storm of 80s riffs totaling about an hour, along with Joe's impressive vocals.
