Experience a full set show by this band, who are creating a buzz with their authentic blues\/hard rock! BLUES PILLS is a blues hard rock band based in ?rebro, a city in central Sweden. American bassist Zack Anderson and his brother, drummer Cory Berry, originally played in the Iowa psychedelic rock band RADIO MOSCOW, but one day in 2011, Zack met Swedish singer Erin Larsson in California. That was the direct trigger for the formation of their new band. Also, about a year earlier, Zack had met Dorian Sollio in France and was greatly impressed by his guitar playing. The members initially collaborated online, but anticipating the band's full-fledged activities, they decided to move to Sweden. A demo they released online shortly after the band's formation received a positive response, and soon they began receiving offers to release their music from various labels. BLUES PILLS continued to energetically compose, rehearse, and record, releasing the 7-inch single \"BLACK SMOKE\" on Maximum Ames Records in 2012, and the 10-inch EP \"BLISS\" on Crusher Records in 2014. These releases quickly became a sensation among discerning rock listeners, selling out immediately, and are now traded at high prices on the online used record market. Incidentally, the band name BLUES PILLS is taken from the blog \"BLUES PILS,\" which deals with obscure rock bands from the 60s and 70s. The German promoter who writes that blog currently organizes the \"FREAK VALLEY FESTIVAL.\" The band BLUES PILLS headlined the festival in 2014 and 2015, and the two have built an extremely good relationship. The biggest turning point for BLUES PILLS came in 2013. Nuclear Blast, one of Europe's largest heavy metal labels, approached them, and a major contract was signed between the two. They released the EP \"DEVIL MAN\" (2013) and the live EP \"LIVE AT ROCKPALAST\" (2014) through Nuclear Blast, and even before their album debut, they quickly became widely recognized as one of the bands to watch. Then, in July 2014, they released their long-awaited first full-length album, \"BLUES PILLS.\" Their authentic sound, heavily influenced and inspired by psychedelic rock, blues rock, and hard rock of the 60s and 70s, as well as soul\/R\u0026amp;B of the 50s, garnered high praise from music fans and media worldwide. At this time, Dorian was only 18, and the other members were in their early twenties, but their sound and performance were a culmination of their childhood experiences of learning from records of a bygone era when music was recognized as art, without ever glancing at the fleeting trends of the time. The special edition of \"BLUES PILLS\" also included a live DVD filmed during their appearance at the \"HAMMER OF DOOM FESTIVAL.\" Following their album debut, their live performances gained even more momentum, and they appeared on prestigious stages such as the 'SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL', Germany's 'ROCK HARD FESTIVAL', and Switzerland's 'MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL', receiving great acclaim. In 2015, they released the live DVD 'BLUES PILLS - LIVE', which was filmed during their performance at the aforementioned 'FREAK VALLEY FESTIVAL'. Having gotten off to a smooth start with their album debut, the members of BLUES PILLS began working on their second album at the end of 2015. They interrupted album production to go on a European tour from February to April 2016, but after the tour, they began putting the finishing touches on the album and completed their second album, \"LADY IN GOLD\". The artwork was once again created by Dutch artist Malik Kogel-Darham (famous for his work with The Beatles and Cream), and production was handled by Don Alsterberg (GRAVEYARD, etc.), as with the previous album. Shortly after the release of their first album, the drummer changed from Cory Berry to Andr? Kvarnstr?m, and this album is the first with Andr? in the lineup. With \"LADY IN GOLD,\" which topped the German album charts and received high praise from rock listeners in continental Europe and the UK, they embarked on a tour of Europe, Scandinavia, and the UK, performing with the German band KADAVAR, also signed to the Nuclear Blast label. The live album \"LADY IN GOLD: LIVE IN PARIS,\" which is being released now, was recorded at their show at Le Trianon in Paris, France on October 30, 2016, during that European tour. Their live performances, more powerful and colorful than their studio albums, showcase the band's true strengths, and the release of this album will undoubtedly further enhance their reputation. The tour accompanying \"LADY IN GOLD\" is currently scheduled to continue until before Christmas.
