The body was severely mutilated, cut in two at the torso, and reportedly cleansed. Following the discovery of the crime, Black Dahlia's belongings were sent to newspapers, making this a baffling and unsolved murder case that shocked the entire nation. The band that bears the ominous name derived from the so-called \"Black Dahlia incident\" is The Black Dahlia Murder, from Waterford, Michigan. Their eighth studio album, \"Nightbringers,\" is finally being released. The Black Dahlia Murder was formed around the end of 2000 by Brian Eskbach (guitar\/responsible for all songwriting and arrangements) and Corey Grady (drums), with the final lineup taking shape in January 2001. Trevor Stornard (vocals\/responsible for all lyrics) joined later, and songwriting began. The members were fluid, but the initial lineup was completed when David Rock (bass) and John Kemp?inen (guitar) joined. After producing two demo tapes, they released a four-track EP, \"A Cold Blooded Epitaph,\" on Lovelost Records. This led to them signing with the prestigious American metal label Metal Blade Records, and they debuted in 2003 with their first album, \"Unhallowed.\" Since then, they have released albums every two years and continued to tour energetically. As a result, their 5th album, \"Ritual,\" released in 2011, reached 31st place on the US Billboard overall chart, demonstrating their commercial success. Despite frequent changes in the band's lineup, their pace of activity has remained uninterrupted, and this latest album, released 16 years later, is their 8th. The Black Dahlia Murder have performed in Japan five times in the past and are popular in Japan.
