Centered around guitarist Lucas Mann, they started their activities in 2009. Their concept was technical deathcore + space?influenced by CARNIFEX, SUICIDE SILENCE, WHITECHAPEL, etc.?or, in Lucas's own words, alien deathcore. In the same year, Lucas added two members and released the song \"Abducted\" online. Its technicality and eccentricity quickly made it a hot topic. Surprisingly, all the members were high school students at this point. Without delay, they released their debut album, \"Embryonic Anomaly\" (self-produced). This caught the attention of Unique Leader Records. Unique Leader Records is a label founded by Erik Lindmark of Deeds of Flesh, another technical death metal band from California. It is a prestigious label that could be called the mecca of this kind of music, releasing not only Deeds of Flesh but also Disgorge and Fallujah, among others. In other words, the young Rings of Saturn were recognized by the boss of the scene with their first album. Unique Leader Records started by reissuing their debut album, \"Embryonic Anomaly.\" This made Rings of Saturn's name known throughout the world. Rings of Saturn started as a studio project by high school students, but by this time they had added members and transformed into a full-fledged band that actively toured. They easily and perfectly dispelled on stage the suspicion that they were relying too much on computer editing, a suspicion often leveled against bands with such a high level of technical skill. Their talent was recognized, and they participated in well-known extreme metal tours such as The Summer Slaughter Tour, where their outstanding stage presence garnered further attention. However, the band then faced several difficulties. First, at the end of 2011, two original members left the band. Lucas Mann, the remaining member, recruited new members and recorded their second album, \"Dingir,\" but a dispute over the band's name arose midway through.
