The living legend is back in action! Alice Cooper, the king of American hard rock and pioneer of \"shock rock,\" returns with his new album \"Paranormal Activity\" after approximately 6 and a half years! Featuring original members Dennis Dunaway (B), Neil Smith (Ds), and Michael Bruce (G), along with a star-studded lineup of guest appearances including Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Larry Mullen Jr. of U2, and Roger Glover of Deep Purple! Alice Cooper, the king of American hard rock, is back on the scene. His theatrical and extreme performances, dubbed \"shock rock,\" captivated audiences across America more than 40 years ago. Since then, he has remained a great musician, gaining many fans worldwide despite ups and downs. He debuted in 1969 with the album \"Pretty's for You.\" Their third album, \"Eighteen,\" released in 1971, and their fourth album, \"Killer,\" released the same year, were hits. The following year, their fifth album, \"Schools Out,\" released in 1972, rose to number 2 on the US album charts, and the single \"Schools Out\" became their biggest hit. Their next album, \"Billion Dollar Babies,\" released in 1973, reached number 1 in the US, solidifying their status as heroes to rock-loving boys. The band, who had connections with Frank Zappa, initially had an art-rock inclination, but later shifted to more accessible hard rock and roll. Furthermore, they embraced \"shock rock\" on stage, embodying a world reminiscent of horror movies. They appeared on stage with black eyeliner resembling snake eyes, wrapped real snakes around their necks, scattered dollar bills into the audience, and performed executions using a guillotine and electric chair, putting on elaborate entertainment rock shows. These had a tremendous influence on subsequent rock bands. The gimmick of applying eerie makeup to one's face, which is still commonly seen today, originated with Alice Cooper, and his influence is immeasurable. After the album \"Muscle of Love\" (1973), the band \"Alice Cooper\" disbanded, and Alice continued his career as a solo singer. He lost momentum in the early 1980s, but gradually regained it from the mid-1980s, and in 1989, \"Trash,\" produced with the help of hitmaker Desmond Child and featuring a star-studded lineup of guests including members of Bon Jovi and Aerosmith, became a huge hit. He achieved a magnificent and complete comeback. Alice's character spread beyond music to all fields, and it is no exaggeration to say that he has become one of the most charismatic musicians in the world. Many rock stars have publicly declared themselves to be fans of Alice Cooper, and in 1991, he made a guest appearance on Guns N' Roses' \"Use Your Illusion I.\" In 2015, he formed Hollywood Vampires with Joe Perry of Aerosmith and popular actor Johnny Depp, and released an album. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. Alice Cooper, who continues to be active, has released his latest studio album, \"Paranormal Activity,\" which is his 27th album and his first in about six and a half years since \"Welcome 2 My Nightmare\" (2011). The recording, which took place in Nashville, also features the three original members of the Alice Cooper Band: Dennis Dunaway (bass), Neil Smith (drums), and Michael Bruce (guitar). In addition, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Larry Mullen Jr. of U2, and Roger Glover of Deep Purple make guest appearances. The producer is Bob Ezrin, a close friend who has worked on Alice Cooper's works since the beginning. He has also worked on numerous other masterpieces, including Kiss's \"Hell's Legion\" (1976) and Pink Floyd's \"The Wall\" (1979). Alice Cooper's music is fundamentally catchy rock and roll delivered in his distinctive husky voice, but the key is the touch of \"poison\" that is incorporated at key points. As you listen more, you'll notice the depth of that \"poison,\" and before you know it, you'll be hooked. In this latest work, \"Paranormal Activity,\" Alice's unique rock world, infused with plenty of poison, is fully on display.
