Finnish thrash band Lost Society's 3rd album, \"Braindead,\" is finally complete! The most promising pure thrash metal band in the European metal scene has evolved even further! Lost Society hails from Finland. They are a four-piece thrash metal band consisting of Sammy Elbanna (guitar, vocals), Arttu Lesonen (guitar), Mirko Lehtinen (bass), and Ossi Paananen (drums). Formed in January 2010 with Sammy at the center, the band initially experienced frequent member changes, but settled on its current lineup in the summer of 2011, and has continued to operate as a fixed four-piece ever since. In 2012, they won the Finnish round of the \"GLOBAL BATTLE OF BANDS\" band contest. When they uploaded a video of their performance of \"Trash All Over You\" to the internet, they were approached by Nuclear Blast, Europe's largest metal label, and a contract was quickly signed. At that time, the band's average age was just 17. In March 2013, they debuted with the album \"FAST LOUD DEATH.\" This album, which combined the unrestrained energy and aggression of youth with a high level of musicianship and outstanding songwriting skills that seemed beyond their years, quickly gained popularity and received rave reviews not only from metal fans and the media, but also from veteran musicians of the first generation of thrash metal, such as KREATOR, FORBIDDEN, and HEATHEN. At a time when a new generation of thrash metal bands such as Toxic Holocaust, Bonded by Blood, Evil, Merciless Death, Gama Bomb, Warbringer, and Fueled by Fire were on the rise, they quickly rose to the top ranks. Until then, they had focused on performing live within Finland, but with the release of their debut album, they ventured abroad, playing throughout Europe and in the UK. Then, in October 2013, they made their first visit to Japan to perform at Loud Park, delivering a passionate performance. Their performance, which did not use any effects pedals, was exhilarating, and despite the short 30-minute set, their no-gimmick, no-nonsense live show succeeded in captivating even audiences who were unfamiliar with them. Having already written new songs by the time of their appearance at \"LOUD PARK,\" they returned to the studio immediately after finishing their live tour supporting their debut album and began recording, releasing their second album, \"TERROR HUNGRY,\" in April 2014. Perhaps as a result of their extensive touring for their debut album, the album was a fulfilling work filled with catchier songs that were more suited to live performances. The European\/Scandinavian tour accompanying \"TERROR HUNGRY\" was longer than that for their previous album. In May 2015, they made their second visit to Japan to perform at \"LOUD \u0026amp; METAL ATTACK,\" showcasing an even more spectacular live performance. From summer to autumn of 2015, they were extremely busy with festival appearances and their own live shows, but from September to October they began working on their third album, and finally completed this latest album, \"BRAINDEAD.\" It's currently unclear whether the album title \"BRAINDEAD\" is taken from a song by their beloved band EXODUS, but it's likely that they drew some kind of inspiration. While inheriting the straightforward and direct thrash metal style of their previous two albums, this album also includes new types of songs, such as \"I Am The Antidote,\" which could be called the band's first mid\/slow tempo song, and \"Only (My) Death,\" which features melodic vocals\/choruses, resulting in a work that showcases even greater dynamism in their music. While presenting a new direction, the band's core strength remains fast and loud thrash metal songs, and this is a masterpiece that is sure to send thrashers and headbangers alike into a frenzy.
