Their 1986 second album saw the smash hit \"Iron Eagle (Never Say Die),\" which was also used as a movie theme song, and things seemed to be going smoothly. However, due to member changes and other factors, the band lost momentum, and they disbanded in 1988 after releasing their third album independently. 22 years later, in 2010, Carmine finally reformed the band with original members David Michael Phillips and Mick Sweda on guitar, Johnny Rod on bass, and Paul Shortino, a universally acclaimed singer known for his work with Rough Cutt and Quiet Riot. The following year, they released their self-titled album, \"KING KOBRA,\" which was well-received in the scene. The band then released their second reunion album, \"KING KOBRA II,\" with the same members, and now, 10 years later in 2023, they have finally released their third reunion album, \"We Are Warriors,\" and resumed their activities! On this album, the guitarists have been replaced by Carlos Cavazo, famous as the guitarist for Quiet Riot, and Rowan Robertson, who joined DIO at the age of 17 in the late 80s!
