Comment by Asei Kobayashi: I've created music in various genres, including commercial jingles, anime theme songs, and popular songs, and each has its own tendencies. For example, with \"commercial jingles,\" I expand on the idea from the product, create something akin to emotion, and that moves the hearts of consumers and drives sales... I consider it a kind of design work, and it's a job that most needs to have a strong impact, something that people won't forget once they hear it. On the other hand, with \"anime\" and \"children's songs,\" I write with the intention of making them something that children will want to sing along to. Children don't dislike things that are difficult; on the contrary, they have a flexibility and voracious appetite that makes them want to take on the challenge. That's why I actually write a lot of surprisingly difficult songs in these genres. In fact, you can't underestimate children. And in the case of \"popular songs,\" I often entrust the arrangement to others. \"Popular songs\" need a certain \"formula,\" and if they don't fit into that, they are less likely to be accepted by the public. The melody needed to be something new and unprecedented, but it also needed to have that distinctive \"kayokyoku\" feel, that sense of comfort from its stylistic beauty. Trying to be overly stylish wouldn't work. I never thought the songs I'd written in this way would be compiled into something like this. Right now, I'm just filled with gratitude.
