Gone Hollywood 17. Take Me Up Point Blank is a five-piece Southern rock band formed in Texas in 1974, centered around Rusty Burns (guitar) and Kim Davis (guitar). They signed with the management of ZZ Top and released two albums on Arista, \"Point Blank\" in 1976 and \"Second Season\" in 1977. After that, they signed with MCA and gradually shifted towards a more mainstream rock and pop direction, releasing \"Airplay\" in 1979 and \"The Hard Way\" in 1980. However, they were not blessed with hits. Finally, in 1981, \"American Exce$$\" received high airplay on AOR radio stations and reached number 20 on the Billboard rock chart. The single \"Nicole\" from the album also reached number 39 and became their biggest hit. However, their 1982 album \"On A Roll\" failed to chart, and the band disbanded the following year, 1983. They later reunited in 2007, releasing the live album \"Reloaded,\" and then in 2009, their first studio album in 27 years, \"Fight On!\".
