Fine By Me Curtis Salgado was born in Washington state in 1954. He began his career in the 70s as a member of the Robert Cray Band and participated in their 1980 album \"Who's Been Talkin'\". Around this time, he also became close friends with John Belushi and is known for transforming him into Jake of the Blues Brothers. In 1982, he was selected as the frontman for Roomful of Blues and released \"Live At Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel\" in 1987. In 1991, he formed his own band, Curtis Salgado \u0026amp; The Stilettos, released an album, and toured with Steve Miller and Santana, gaining considerable attention. He continued to release albums consistently, including \"More Than You Can Chew\" in 1995 and \"Hit It N' Quit It\" in 1996. His 2000 album, \"Soul Activated,\" earned him a Blues Music Award nomination. He has since released numerous recordings on Alligator, including \"Soul Shot\" in 2012 and \"The Beautiful Lowdown\" in 2016.
