Exit Music\/The Theme Young Fresh Fellows were formed in Seattle in 1981 by three multi-instrumentalists: Scott McCoy (B), Chuck Carroll (G), and Tad Hutchinson (Dr). They debuted in 1984 with \"The Fabulous Sounds?c\". Jim Sangster (B) joined, and they released albums such as \"Topsy Turvy\" in 1985 and \"The Men Who Loved Music\" in 1987. Chuck later left and Kurt Brock joined. They continued to release music consistently, but their activity drastically decreased from 1994 when Scott became a support member for REM. Furthermore, they formed Minus 5 with Peter Buck of REM, and their focus shifted to that project. However, they received a great deal of respect from many alternative bands, and in 2004, a tribute album to them, \"This One's for the Fellows,\" was released. Responding to this demand, they released \"I Think This Is\" in 2009 and \"Tiempo De Lujo\" in 2012, but Scott suffered a stroke in November 2017.
