Lucid Dream Tiana Major 9, whose real name is Tiana Thomas Ambersley, was born in Newham, East London in 1997. She grew up in a Jamaican family, singing gospel in church from the age of five. She studied music seriously at university and in 2014 was selected as a finalist in the MOBO UnSung contest, a UK Black Music Awards competition. In 2017, she digitally released \"Merry Go\" and \"Levee (Let It Break)\". In 2019, she released her debut EP, \"Rehearsal @ NINE\". In the same year, she sang \"Collide,\" a song from the soundtrack of the movie \"Queen \u0026amp; Slim,\" with Earthgang, which was nominated for a Grammy Award and solidified her popularity. She then signed with Motown and released the EP \"At Sixes And Sevens\" in 2020 and the EP \"Fool Me Once\" in 2022.
