In 1981, he formed The Heart Fixers with veteran harpist Chicago Bob Nelson. In 1986, they released four albums, including \"Cool On It,\" and attracted attention. In 1988, he signed with Alligator and made his solo debut with \"Georgia Blue.\" After that, he released four albums, including \"Storm Warning\" in 1994, and received high praise. Even in the 2000s, he consistently released albums on labels like Capricorn and Telarc. In 2005, he returned to Alligator and continued to release albums consistently, including \"Live: Highwayman\" and \"Speak No Evil\" in 2009. His latest album, \"Naked Truth,\" released in 2023, was nominated for a Blues Music Award.
