He grew up in a poor family and spent his childhood singing in church. At the age of 16, he left school and enlisted in the military. He was assigned to a US military base in Germany, where he first discovered the blues. He rose to prominence in the German blues scene, collaborating with numerous artists, and from the late 1990s onwards, he produced albums with various bands and units. In 2009, he signed with RUF Records in Germany and released his first international solo debut album, \"Love Is the Key\". He continued to release albums consistently, including \"Some a Ride\" in 2011 and \"Live in Europe\" in 2014, blossoming as a late-blooming, talented blues singer. He is highly regarded by musicians such as Eric Bibb, and his skills as a composer are also genuine.
