Two Trains Running The Blues Project was a blues band formed in Greenwich Village, New York in 1965. The original members were guitarists Danny Kalb and Steve Katz, bassist Andy Kluberg, drummer Roy Blumenfeld, and keyboardist Al Kooper. They debuted in 1966 with the live album \"Live at the Cafe Au Go Go\" on Folkways, and released their studio album \"Projections\" in the same year. Al Kooper left to form BS\u0026amp;T. In 1967 they released \"Live at Town Hall\" and performed at the Monterey Pop Festival, but Calv and Katz left, and with a completely new lineup, they released \"Planned Obsolescence\" in 1968, but the band fell apart. In the 1970s they briefly reunited, and with the original members they released \"Lazarus\" in 1971, \"Blues Project\" in 1972, and \"Reunion in Central Park\" in 1973. After that, the members went on to pursue their own individual careers.
