One in a Million Annika Chambers hails from Houston, Texas. From a young age, she sang gospel in church and was influenced by Yolanda Adams and Shirley Caesar. After graduating from high school, she was invited to join a military band and served in Iraq and other locations. In 2011, she returned to Houston and joined the House Rules Band, which featured top musicians such as Tony Braunagel of the Phantom Blues Band. Her 2014 debut album, \"Making My Mark,\" quickly climbed the blues charts in the US and Europe, and she was named Best New Artist at the Blues Music Awards the following year, 2015. Her 2016 second album, \"Wild \u0026amp; Free,\" debuted at number 7 on the Billboard Blues chart. She was subsequently nominated for a Koko Taylor Award in 2017 and won the Soul Blues Female Artist award in 2019.
