Sermon for Stuff Mads Tolling was born in Denmark in 1980. At the age of 20, he moved to the United States and studied violin at Berklee College of Music. While there, he won numerous awards, including the Elvin Jones Award. After graduating in 2003, he was selected as a band member for Stanley Clarke at the recommendation of Jean-Luc Ponty. He toured the world, including the Newport Jazz Festival. Later, he joined the Turtle Island Quartet, winning Grammy Awards for two albums, \"4+Four\" in 2006 and \"A Love Supreme\" in 2008. In 2007, he formed his own band, the Mads Tolling Trio, releasing \"Speed ??of Light\" in 2008, and then \"The Playmaker\" as a quartet in 2009. He has also participated in albums by R\u0026amp;B singer Teena Marie and jazz singer Anne Hampton Caraways, among others. As a composer, he is a highly skilled musician who has provided numerous songs to various artists. Their 2017 album, \"Playing the 60's,\" was released in Japan, and they have performed there several times.
