He was awakened to the blues when he heard it at the age of 13 and picked up the guitar at 16, but gave it up for a time. In his twenties, he pursued music again, formed a band and began working as a guitarist. After the band broke up, he formed Blue Root with Jordan Young. At the age of 25, he saw John Nemeth play for the first time and was captivated by the harmonica, and at the age of 29, he switched from guitar to harmonica. In 2018, he was invited by Nemeth to move to Memphis, where he led his band, Soul Service, and performed mainly in the local area. In parallel, he toured across the United States, recording many sessions. In 2019, he released \"Tony Holiday's Porch Sessions,\" a collection of acoustic sessions he had recorded with many guests including John Primer and James Herman. In 2020, he released his first solo album, \"Soul Service.\" Then, in 2021, he released \"Porch Sessions Vol. 2,\" the second installment in the series, also featuring a stellar lineup of guests including Charlie Musselwhite and Kim Wilson.
