Tronzo Cannon was born in Chicago in 1968. He picked up a guitar at the age of 22 and initially played reggae, but gradually became captivated by the blues of Hound Dog Taylor, B.B. King, and others. He worked as a city bus driver during the day and played in clubs at night. From 1996, he played as a sideman for Wayne Baker Brooks, Joanna Connor, and others. From 2001, he formed his own band, Cannonball Express, and worked as its frontman. In 2007, he made his late-blooming debut with his self-released album \"My Woman\". He then released \"Leaving Mood\" in 2011 and \"John The Conquer Root\" in 2013 through Delmark, gradually making a name for himself.
