Slow explosion Katarina Pejak is from Belgrade, Serbia. From a young age, she was captivated by artists like Tom Waits, Bessie Smith, and Norah Jones, and began playing piano. In her late teens, she performed at local blues clubs. She debuted in 2010 with \"Perfume \u0026amp; Luck.\" Subsequently, in 2011, she entered Berklee College of Music with such high academic achievements that she received a scholarship. She won the Songwriting Achievement Award for her numerous outstanding songs. In 2012, she released her second album, \"First Hand Stories,\" in her home country. After graduating in 2014, she continued her musical activities while traveling between Nashville and Serbia, consistently releasing albums such as a live album in 2015 and \"Old, New, Borrowed and Blues\" in 2016. In 2018, she signed with RUF Records and released \"Rose That Cross\" worldwide. In 2019, she participated in a world tour with the Blues Caravan alongside Ina Forssmann and Ally Venable.
