She started playing guitar at the age of 8 and became devoted to the blues, inspired by Albert Collins, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. At the age of 16, she was discovered by former Eurythmics member Dave Stewart, and the following year, she joined the tour of D.U.P., the supergroup he formed with Candy Dulfer and Jimmy Cliff, as a guitarist. When Dave first saw her play and learned her age, he was reportedly astonished. She is already known in the UK as a child prodigy guitarist. This album is her debut album. She composed almost all of the songs, and on every track, she showcases her further refined guitar technique and soulful vocals. The album was produced by Jim Gaines, who has worked with her idols Stevie Ray Vaughan and Collins, and was recorded in Memphis.
