At age 17, she joined the Bluegrass Power Quintet. Her first recording was on Matt Glazer's Wayfaring Strangers' album \"This Train\" (2003). In parallel, she formed the bluegrass band Crooked Still with friends from a Boston music school, releasing \"Hop High\" in 2004. She consistently released several albums but has been inactive since 2011. Following that, he released his first solo single, \"Blue Light.\" He also garnered attention for his vocals on the album \"The Goat Rodeo Sessions\" by Yo-Yo Ma and Chris Thile. In 2013, he released his first solo album, \"Fossils,\" on Yep Roc, and in 2016, \"In the Magic Hour.\" In 2015, he came to Japan as part of the unit I'm With Her with Sarah Watkins and Sarah Jarroz, and in 2018, he released the album \"See You Around\" on Rounder.
