He quickly became a sensation, but succumbed to alcohol and drugs. After a hiatus of several years, he made a comeback in 2000 with \"AMERICA'S MOST WANTED.\" He successfully completed a 250-show tour that year and matured as a person. His talent was recognized, and he released \"Today\" in 2008 and \"Pearl River\" in 2009 through Delta Groove. His duet with Cyril Neville won Song of the Year at the Blues Music Awards. In 2011, he released \"Greyhound\" and also worked as a producer for various artists. In 2012, he formed the supergroup Royal Southern Brotherhood with Cyril Neville and Devon Allman, releasing three albums including live recordings. In 2013, he released \"Gone to Texas.\" After that, he left Royal Southern Brotherhood to focus more on his solo career.
