Growing up surrounded by roots music such as country, soul, and polka, he was said to be musically gifted. In 1961, he was scouted by Ronnie Hawkins, who happened to be touring his hometown, and joined the Hawks, his backing band. Later, he became Bob Dylan's backing band, performing on tours and sessions. In 1968, he debuted with The Band with \"Music from Big Pink.\" They left behind many classic albums, but disbanded after the \"Last Waltz\" concert in 1976. After that, he released the album \"Rick Danko\" as a solo artist in 1977. In 1983, he reformed The Band and released three albums, including \"Jericho\" in 1993 and \"High on the Hog\" in 1996. He has also participated in various festivals and events. In addition, he has worked with Paul Butterfield in a unit and released albums under the name Danko Fiel Anderson. However, he died on December 10, 1999, at his home in Marbletown, New York. Because he released relatively few solo albums, many live recordings have been released posthumously.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"TOKYO JAPAN CD SHOP","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53227103551797,"sku":"4546266213892","price":3800.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1011\/5966\/5973\/files\/51PkUb4ZcHL._AC.jpg?v=1785377815","url":"https:\/\/tokyojapancdshop.com\/products\/4546266213892","provider":"TOKYO JAPAN CD SHOP","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
