In 1967, he moved to Chicago and formed Electric Flag with Mike Bloomfield. They performed at the Monterey Pop Festival and released their first album, 'A Long Time Comin', the following year, before disbanding. In the same year, he participated in the recording of Jimi Hendrix's masterpiece album \"Electric Ladyland.\" Later, under the name Buddy Miles Express, he released \"Expressway To Your Skull\" in 1969. In 1970, he joined Jimi's Band of Gypsys and produced an album with them. At the same time, he recorded his first solo album, \"Them Changes,\" but Jimi tragically died. After that, he participated in sessions and live performances with various artists, including Carlos Santana. In the 1970s, he consistently released albums such as \"Chapter VII\" and \"Roadrunner,\" but in the 1980s, his releases decreased, and he was active as a session player, appearing on numerous albums and live performances.
