In 1990, she attended an art school in LA to seriously study painting and music, honing her songwriting and guitar technique. There, she absorbed various genres of music, including blues, folk, country, and jazz. Later, she moved to Portland, Oregon, and released her first album, \"Under the Sun,\" in 2001. The album became a hit on California radio stations, and she performed at many festivals. She released \"Dredge\" in 2004 and \"Rain of Days\" in 2006, gaining attention throughout the United States. In 2011, his album \"Get Inside This House\" finally won the International Blues Challenge's Best Self-Produced Album award. Simultaneously, he released \"Swimming in Turpentine\" in 2009 with his electric jam band, Woodbrain.
